Terms of Business
A full fees schedule is on display on the notice board in the waiting room.
All patients are expected to pay their account in full at the time of their consultation. Payment can be made by;
- EFTPOS (including major Credit Cards)
- Internet Banking (please ensure you include your surname, initials and client number from on the invoice)
Please Note: We are unable to accept payment by way of cheque.
Anyone not paying in full (on the day they were seen) will be text, emailed or posted an invoice, usually on the same day, with the amount outstanding and a reminder that an admin fee will be added if not paid in full within 7 days from the date of the service being rendered.
Visitors and Casual Patients
Visitors, casual, non-funded patients and those with accounts in arrears are expected to pay for their consult BEFORE they are seen by a clinician and should also check with Reception after they have been seen to make sure that there are no further charges.
If you are going to miss your appointment or be late, let us know. A $20 fee will be charged for non-attendance at a scheduled appointment. This only applies where patients do not contact us at least 2hrs prior to the scheduled appointment to cancel it.
If you have a double appointment booked and do not attend it and dont give us prior warning a double fee ($40) will be charged.
A $10 administration fee will be charged to all accounts not paid in full within 7 days of service being rendered. This includes requests for prescriptions via phone or portal.
Unpaid accounts that have not been paid after 30 days past the due date may be referred to a debt collection agency. The account holder is liable for all debt collection costs incurred. These can range from $30 to over $100.
The Pleasant Point Health Centre reserves the right to refuse to provide non-urgent medical treatment to any patient whose account remains unpaid for more than 30 days.
Payment options are available for patients who are accumulating large accounts. Please discuss these with the Receptionist before your consultation / appointment.
