Staff at the Pleasant Point Health Centre take pride in being able to provide a full range of health services to our community. We provide consultations by experienced clinicians and referrals when necessary, to whichever specialists you may require.
During your consultation, you may be seen by a Nurse Practitioner, a General Practitioner or by a Registered Nurse, or a combination of any of these, depending on your health needs.
For things like life insurance, medical insurance, driver licensing and off-work certificates.
If you intend to travel overseas, you may need to be immunised. Call in and see us to discuss your plans.
We offer a wide range of primary healthcare nursing services and our Registered Nurses have a wealth of experience.
We have a number of external providers who provide their services from our premises on a regular basis, such as physio and podiatry and others that can do so if needed.
We have a Health Improvement Practitioner and a Health Coach on-site and freely available for your non-medical needs most days of the week.
The clinical staff consists of 3 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Registered Nurses and a Phlebotomist. They are well supported by the administration team of 2 Receptionists, a HealthCare Assistant, a Health Coach, Health improvement Practitioner and the Practice Manager.

Senior Receptionist Carolyn Honeywell is an integral part of our small team. Carolyn is the first point of contact at the tēpu manako (front desk) on most days.
Kaumātua Gail is a very experienced practice manager sometimes fills in as a relief receptionist. She also provides encouragement and support across all of the Health Centre.

Under the Covid 19 Traffic Light System, we cannot have clients making appointments via the portal, as we need to triage all appointments. NORMALLY, you could. You could log in to your portal and choose the clinician, the date and the time and make an appointment for when it suits you. BRING ON THE GREEN LIGHT!!!!
In the meantime, you can still see test results and order repeat meds through the portal and that's probably quicker than ringing them through.

Absolutely. It will not stop you getting covid, but it will significantly reduce the effects of catching it.
Because we are quite a busy practice these days. If you choose the appointments line and it happens to be busy, leave a message as instructed and a registered Nurse will organise the appointment for you. Dont forget to leave your name and phone number.
If you are registered and can't get in, call the health centre and ask the receptionist for assistance.
